This Shipping Policy describes how RW Medical processes and delivers orders placed through our website. It outlines our shipping coverage, delivery timelines, applicable shipping fees, and the procedures followed in the event of delays, lost shipments, or damaged packages.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Shipping Policy. RW Medical reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Any updates will be reflected on this page with the revised “Last Updated” date.
Delivery timeframes provided in this policy are estimates only and may vary depending on carrier operations, weather conditions, and other external factors. For additional information, please review RW Medical’s Terms of Service which govern your use of our website and purchase of products.

1. Shipping Coverage
RW Medical ships orders to customers across Canada, including most rural and remote areas. At this time, shipping is available within Canada only. Customers located in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut are asked to contact us prior to placing an order to confirm shipping availability and applicable delivery charges.
2. Shipping Rates
RW Medical offers flat-rate shipping for most orders delivered within Canada. Orders with a subtotal below $99 CAD are subject to a flat shipping fee of $14.99 CAD. Shipping rates are calculated based on the order subtotal before applicable taxes.
Shipping to the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut may require additional charges due to carrier limitations. Customers located in these regions are asked to contract us prior to placing an order to confirm shipping availability and applicable shipping fees.
3. Free Shipping
Orders with a subtotal of $99 CAD or more before tax are eligible for free standard shipping within Canada. Free shipping applies only to items shipped via standard service. Additional fees may apply for expedited shipping or special delivery requirements.
Certain items are not eligible for free shipping due to specialized handling requirements or regulatory restrictions:
- Dangerous goods: Items such as alcohol, batteries, and AED batteries require specialized courier handling. For these items, a flat shipping fee of $14.99 CAD applies.
- Heavy items: Products classified as “heavy,” including exam tables, furniture, lab refrigerators, autoclaves, and similar equipment, are not eligible for free shipping. Customers will receive a freight quote for approval prior to shipment.
4. Freight Shipments
Heavy or special-order items are shipped via freight carriers. These shipments may require additional handling and fees. Key details:
- Freight Carriers: RW Medical works with reputable freight carriers to deliver heavy items safely. The carrier used will be communicated in advance.
- Liftgate Requirements: Some deliveries may require a liftgate service for unloading. Customers are responsible for confirming whether a liftgate is required for their location.
- Delivery Appointment: For oversized or heavy items, carriers may require a delivery appointment. RW Medical will coordinate with the customer to schedule a convenient delivery time.
- Freight Quotes: A freight quote will be provided for approval prior to shipping. Shipping will not proceed until the customer confirms the quote.

5. Order Processing
RW Medical processes orders on business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).
- Stock items: Orders placed before 10:00 AM local time are generally processed and shipped the same business day. Orders placed after 10:00 AM will be processed on the next business day.
- Special orders or freight items: Processing may take additional time. Customers will be notified of any extended processing times at the time of purchase.
- Local delivery (Sault Ste. Marie area): Orders placed before 12:00 PM will generally be delivered the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM will be delivered the following business day.
Processing times refer to the time it takes RW Medical to prepare the order for shipment. Delivery times, including transit by the carrier, are provided in the following section.
6. Delivery Estimates
Delivery times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. RW Medical makes every effort to deliver orders within the estimated timeframes, but delays may occur due to weather, carrier issues, or other unforeseen circumstances. If your order is time-sensitive, please contact us prior to placing your order.
The day an order is placed is not counted toward the delivery estimate. For example, a standard order placed on Monday at 8:00 a.m. to be shipped to Toronto would typically arrive on Wednesday or Thursday.

Delivery estimates apply to standard shipping. Heavy, oversized, or special-order items may require additional transit time.
6.1. Local Delivery
RW Medical offers free local delivery within the Sault Ste. Marie city limits. Customers may enter their postal code at checkout to select this option. For deliveries to nearby locations, including Bruce Mines, Echo Bay, Laird, Desbarats, St. Joseph Island, and Prince Township, please contact us to arrange delivery.
Please note: RW Medical operates as a warehouse-based business and does not have a retail storefront. Curbside or retail pickup is not available at our facility. If your delivery location cannot receive shipments, contact us to arrange an alternate delivery or pickup location.
7. Shipping Carriers
RW Medical ships orders across Canada using Purolator, Canada Post, Canpar, FedEx, and UPS to ensure timely delivery. The selection of carrier may depend on the destination, package size, weight, or type of shipment.
RW Medical does not guarantee a specific carrier for standard shipments. The chosen carrier is selected to provide the most reliable and efficient delivery available.
8. Tracking Information
Once an order has been shipped, RW Medical provides customers with a tracking number for most shipments. Customers may use this number to monitor the progress of their delivery. Tracking progress can be accessed via:
- The order confirmation email sent at the time of shipment
- The customer support chat, where the tracking number can be entered for real-time updates
RW Medical is not responsible for delays or discrepancies in tracking updates provided by the carrier. Tracking information and personal data are handled in accordance with RW Medical’s Privacy Policy.
9. Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information at the time of order. This includes the recipient’s name, street address, postal code, and any relevant delivery instructions.
RW Medical is not responsible for delays, undeliverable packages, or additional shipping fees resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer. Additional charges may apply if a package is returned due to an incorrect address.
10. Lost or Delayed Shipments
We work with our carriers to ensure timely delivery; however, packages may occasionally be lost or delayed.
- A package is generally considered lost if it has not been delivered within the carrier’s standard transit timeframe and tracking information shows no updates.
- In the event of a lost package, we will open an investigation with the carrier to determine the package’s status.
- Customers should contact us promptly if an order has not arrived within the expected timeframe.
- Orders that are refused by the recipient or returned due to failed delivery attempts may be subject to return shipping charges and restocking fees.
RW Medical is not responsible for delays caused by weather, natural events, carrier service issues, or other circumstances outside of our control.
11. Damaged Goods
We take care to ensure all orders are properly packaged; however, items may occasionally be damaged in transit.
- Customers must inspect all packages upon delivery and report any damage within 48 hours.
- To file a claim, customers must provide photographic evidence of the damaged goods, including all sides of the packaging and the interior of the box.
- Refund for damaged goods will only be applied to the customer’s account after approval from the transport carrier.
- We will, where possible, issue a refund to the customer’s account in accordance with carrier claims and internal review.

12. Changes to Shipping Policy
RW Medical reserves the right to modify, update, or amend this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Customers are encouraged to review the Shipping Policy periodically to stay informed of any updates. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
